Hello and Welcome to Cakes by Arlene
I am a stay at home mom of three beautiful boys (born 2004, 2009, and 2012).
I am a "hobby" baker. I started making cakes when my eldest son turned 2(Dad made his first cake). I made him a train cake and thought "I can do this, maybe I can make cakes for others". Soon I started doing all the cakes for my family, and a few friends.
Then my friends started telling their friends, and before I knew it I was baking 6-7 cakes a year on top of the family cakes.
That was 5 years ago, I now bake roughly one cake a week and have started making cookies as well.
I love to bake, always have.
All of my cakes are made in my kitchen and can be customized however you would like. My standard cake recipe is actually called a "goofy or wacky" cake, No eggs or dairy, But I can do any flavour you would like. I also make a delicious Marshmallow fondant instead of the tasteless fondant that is usually on cakes.
I have taken two of the Wilton courses through Michaels Craft store and am looking into taking some more.
If you are interested in any of my baked goods please contact me.
